Of Churches and Shoes in Florence

The views from the Duomo gave us a perspective on Florence and the 4 of us spent our day being 'cultural', as best Fred and Brian can be cultured. Explored Santa Croce, Michelangelo's tomb and Cimabue cross among others. Glorious bright blue day and so good to be out and about.
Di and I had the best of time in the Musee
Salvatore Ferragamo, he was the original Italian shoemaker to the Hollywood stars and royalty, we spent a delicious hour looking at the most exquisite shoes!
We had a celebratory dinner for Bri and Di's 20th anniversary at a Trattoria, loads of Chianti good meat, chicken and for me Tortino di Carciofi, a delicate and refines artichoke omelette.
Now off to find some art and sculpture!
